Hallgrímskirkja church ranked one of the strangest buildings in the world
Iceland's tallest church has been ranked as the 3rd strangest building in the world. Hallgrímskirkja is a lutheran church located in the capital city of Reykjavík, andat 73 m (244 ft) is the 6th highest structure in all of Iceland.
Hallgrímskirkja was designed by Guðjón Samúelsson to resemble the lava flows that define Iceland's volcanic landscape. Construction for the church was completed in 1986.
